The image of comet C/1999 S4 (LINEAR) was taken on 1999 October 1.895 UT with 0.57-m f/5.2 reflector + CCD camera SBIG ST-8 of Klet' Observatory and is 60 seconds exposure. The field of view is 8 to 5 arcminutes with north to the top and west to the right. The image of comet is arrowed.
This is the first image of this comet taken in Europe and was used for confirmation of comet's discovery.

The preliminary parabolic orbit suggests that this comet might become a naked-eye object in July 2000 (IAUC 7267).
